About Dr Nada Rohde
I graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1988 (MBMS). I hold a Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP) and a Diploma in Child Health (UniSydney). Over the years as a rural GP I managed many patients with skin cancer and became aware of a high demand for specialised primary health skin cancer services in rural areas.
I am passionate about learning and advancing my professional skills and have undertaken several post-graduate diploma courses in skin cancer medicine and surgery. This meant that my patients did not require a referral to see a specialised medical service and had direct access to a doctor with training and experience.
As a doctor with many years of experience in general practice, my focus has been on integrative medicine and psychological health. Over the last 15 years, I have dedicated my practice to specialising in skin cancer medicine and surgery. My general practice skills and experience is an added benefit in the diagnosis of skin disorders.
I am an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with The Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA), a member of the International Dermoscopy Society and a Fellow of the Skin Cancer Institute. The SCCA accreditation means that I have undertaken a Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery and have proven skills and knowledge in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer recognized by the Skin Cancer College Australasia. The accreditation is reviewed by the College and maintained by ongoing medical education.
I have a special interest in digital dermoscopy, early detection, and prevention of skin cancer. Dermoscopy is a proven clinically useful tool and enables a high level of early melanoma detection proven by quarterly clinical surgical audit data.
